About Our Parish

The Indian Telephone Industries Ltd. (ITI), established in 1949, built a township with 1000 dwelling quarters for its employees. During the 1950’s many employees moved into the new township. There were some Catholics too among them. They needed a church to cater to their spiritual needs. The I.T.I. management responded favourably to a petition submitted by the Catholics and permitted Sunday services in either the cricket pavilion or the sports club of the company.

The Salesian priests and brothers of Kristu Jyothi College under Fr. Di Fiore extended their help to the Catholics in meeting their spiritual needs. Fr. John Nedumpuram completed the construction of the church building. Archbishop Packiam Arokiaswamy blessed and opened Holy Family Church on 9th September 1975.

Parish Priests

Rev. Fr. Dr. Susairaj P is the Parish Priest of the Holy Family Church, Ramamurthy Nagar, Bangalore. He is a priest of the Archdiocese of Bangalore with vast pastoral experience. He was appointed as the Parish Priest of the Holy Family Church on 26 June 2022

He is the secretary of the Commission for Small Christian Communities and an ecclesiastical advisor to the Commission for Women in the Archdiocese of Bangalore. He has successfully completed his Doctorate in missiology from St Peters Pontifical Institute. He is a well-known musician who has released several Christian devotional hymns in Kannada and Tamil. Before coming over here he was the parish priest at Our Lady of Victories Church, KGF.
